Mythic Yoga Journey™ Ponce Inlet, Florida Lighthouse.
To the Lighthouse! Marichi in Sanskrit means “ray of light.” The mythic image of a lighthouse – a light in the midst of darkness – activates dormant seeds of energy within us, activating our imagination and mythic yoga practice.
Living in land-locked Colorado for 38 years of my life, I have visited only a few lighthouses in my life – one in Colonia, Uruguay, another seen cruising off the coast of Sardinia, and this one, in Ponce Inlet, Florida.
I have climbed the steep, spiral stairs of several, and the body elevates physically as the mind elevates symbolically in consciousness.
Light cuts through the darkness and obscuring fog or maya, or delusion, or the ego mindedness of the ahamkara.

What lighthouses have you visited? What does a lighthouse mean to you? Tell a story about a lighthouse or a trip to a lighthouse, or create a poem, dance or other work of creative expression. Contemplate the lighthouse during yoga practice. Contemplate that you are the light and your body is the house. How do you move? How does your body move if it were a house full of light? What does this image in your body reveal to you? What dreams arise? Do Tell!
